1. Who we are

This service is operated by Karol Liberka (trading as "FireTwin AI", "we", "us"), acting as the data controller for personal data processed via the FireTwin AI platform. For privacy questions, contact us at hello@firetwin.ai.

2. Personal data we collect

• Account data: name, email, login credentials, organisation.
• Project data: content you upload (drawings, project metadata, reports).
• Support data: messages and attachments you send to support.
• Usage data: telemetry, feature usage, device identifiers, IP address, log data.
• Billing data: handled by our payment provider Paddle; we receive limited billing metadata (plan, status, invoice references).

3. Purposes and legal bases

• Provide the service (contract performance) — account creation, hosting your projects, generating reports.
• Security and fraud prevention (legitimate interests) — abuse detection, audit logs.
• Customer support (contract performance) — answering your queries.
• Service improvement and analytics (legitimate interests) — aggregated usage analysis.
• Legal compliance (legal obligation) — invoicing, tax, responding to lawful requests.
• Marketing (consent, where required) — product updates and newsletters; you can opt out anytime.

4. How we share data

We share personal data only with:

• Service providers / subprocessors: cloud hosting, database, email delivery, analytics, error monitoring and customer support tooling.
• Paddle.com Market Limited — our Merchant of Record. Paddle processes all payments, subscriptions, invoicing and sales tax compliance and acts as an independent data controller for that purpose. See Paddle's Privacy Policy.
• Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where reasonably necessary.
• Authorities where required by law or to protect our rights.

5. International transfers

Some of our providers process data outside the UK/EEA. Where this happens we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

6. Data retention

We keep personal data only for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations (e.g. tax records), and resolve disputes. Project content is retained for the life of your account and deleted or anonymised on request or after a reasonable period following account termination.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. EEA/UK users may also lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority. We aim to respond within one month. To exercise your rights, email hello@firetwin.ai.

8. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and regular review of our infrastructure — to protect personal data. No system is perfectly secure; we ask you to keep your credentials confidential.

9. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We may use analytics cookies (where lawful) to understand product usage. You can manage cookies via your browser settings.

10. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email.
